1 Sep 2010: We've begun our move to the Marilla Park Building (former Habitat ReStore) and will be open for business TODAY. We'll be having a work party Saturday, Sep 4 from 8am to 5pm. A task list has been posted to the blog - we'd really appreciate your help with all the work we have to do to get the shop working and looking good. Today is opening day but we still need lots of help finishing the move and getting everything set up. Come by anytime we're open (Wed 1-7pm and Thur-Sat 1-5pm) especially if you have a big truck. Bike donations may be brought to the new location any time and we can still be reached at the same phone number if you have any other questions. Positive Spin is a place to learn how to make a better transportation future for Morgantown. We raise funds by recycling bicycles , making them available to anyone for a suggested donation. The proceeds support our bike education outreach and transportation advocacy efforts. We are all-volunteer, all-donation, and a registered non-profit (501-c3) organization. Your donations are tax-deductible. We work with other local charities and environmental organizations who share our vision. Come VISIT and see for yourself. |

Memberships in Positive Spin are available ($24/year individual or $36/yr family, pro-rated for part-year residents and students) which entitle you to use of the shop and access to recycled bike parts as well as expert guidance from other volunteers. Members also receive a 10% discount in retail bike stores including Adventure's Edge , Pathfinder , Wamsley Cycles. We are actively seeking governing board members in order to aid in long-term strategic planning and fundraising. If you share our passion for sustainable transportation in Morgantown consider attending our next board meeting Tuesday Oct 20 at 6:30 pm at our shop. |
