Riding the PRT E-mail

Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) is Morgantown's personal chauffeur. Designed by Boeing in 1974, it can take riders from Walnut St. to the Ruby Memorial Hospital in under 10 minutes. The PRT uses electricity instead of fossil fuels so as not to harm citizens with dangerous carbon monoxide emissions.

Riding the PRT allows students to bypass parking and traffic hassles, which is why many students find the PRT is the easiest, fastest, and least expensive mode of transportation. PRT costs are included in undergraduate tuition and fees; students simply swipe their Mountaineer Card IDs at the PRT station for admittance. Non-students are charged no more then the bus.
